Ensuring a successful test day with ProctorU remote proctoring while using a work provided device
It is the sole responsibility of the test taker to review all the information below and ensure that the device they intend to use to take the exam meets all specified requirements. Failure to adhere to these requirements, resulting in an unsuccessful exam attempt, may lead to forfeiture of exam fees, subject to the organization’s policies.
The Guardian Browser is MANDATORY for all exams taken with ProctorU remote proctoring within the Prolydian system. You can download the Guardian Browser here.
Due to the high-security test environment enforced by the Guardian Browser, certain background programs and applications may be flagged during the exam check-in process. These flagged programs could interfere with or prevent a successful exam attempt. For security reasons, the full list of restricted programs cannot be disclosed. However, the most commonly encountered offending programs are listed below.
If any of these programs are installed on your device, it is your responsibility to uninstall them or coordinate with your IT team to remove them from the testing device. Failure to do so may prevent you from completing your exam successfully. We strongly recommend using a personal laptop or computer for testing whenever possible.
Common programs that prevent successful testing:
TeamViewer
AnyDesk
Secure Remote Services
NVIDIA Broadcast
Rutserv/Remote Utilities Host
ShareX
GoToMeeting
