Scheduling an exam

Please note: Most exams must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance.
Exams proctored by the Proctor360 system must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.
  • Log into your Prolydian account at https://app.prolydian.com and go to Exams > My exams
  • Click the "Schedule" button below the name of your exam

Note: If you see an "Update Address" button instead of a "Schedule" button, click on that button and update your address. This will need to be completed before scheduling your exam.

         

  • A new window will pop up with scheduling options. If the Time Zone is not listed or not correct, choose the correct option from the drop down menu

You can also set your account's time zone following the steps in the "Setting Your Account's Time Zone" section below. This will ensure all times shown in Prolydian are in your time zone.

  • Pick your date from the drop down calendar or enter it with the MM/DD/YYYY format.

  • Click the search button to find available exam times. Choose a time from the provided menu – make sure to pay attention to AM and PM. Please note that 12 AM is midnight and has a moon icon, while 12 PM is noon and has a sun icon.

  • Tick the check box confirming your date, time, and time zone. 

  • Click the "Schedule" button to finalize the process and schedule your exam.

You will be returned to the My Exam page and will see the exam listed with the scheduled date and time. You will receive an email with additional instructions within 5 minutes of scheduling your exam.

Rescheduling an exam

Please note: Exams can only be rescheduled 24 hours or more before the scheduled exam date/time.
When selecting a new date/time exams must be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance. 
Exams proctored by Proctor 360 must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advanced.
  • Visit the My Exams page within your Prolydian account.
  • Click the Reschedule button below your exam name.

  • Repeat the steps used to schedule your exam, choosing a new date and time.

You will be returned to the My Exam page and will see the exam listed with the new date and time. You will receive an email with additional instructions within 5 minutes of scheduling your exam.

 

Canceling an exam

Please note: Once cancelled, you are not able to use your exam registration or schedule your exam.
An entirely new registration will be needed and registration fees may apply.
  • Visit the My Exams page within your Prolydian account.
  • Click the "Cancel" button below your exam name.
  • In the window that pops up, click OK.

You will be returned to the My Exam page and will see that the exam has been cancelled.

 

Setting your account's time zone

  • Log in at https://app.prolydian.com/ and click on your initials in the upper right hand corner, then choose "Account."
  • Scroll down to "My language/locale preferences" and select your correct time zone.
  • Click "Save"

This will ensure that all times shown in Prolydian preview correctly for the selected time zone. 
Also, make sure to have your device set to the correct time zone.

ProctorU Technical Requirements

  • Guardian Browser is required for testing. Download here.
  • Operating System: macOS 11 or higher, Windows 10 or higher. ProctorU does not support Linux or Chrome OS
  • Web Camera: Minimum- 640×480 resolution, Recommended- 1280×720 resolution
  • Internet Download Speed: A required minimum upload and download speed of 3Mbps (3072 Kbps), with 10Mbps preferred
  • CPU: 4 cores at 2.4ghz
  • RAM: Recommended - 8GB
  • A Functioning Microphone: Webcams with built in microphones and stand alone microphones supported
  • Not Supported:
  • Tablets (iPad, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Note, etc.)
  • Mobile (Android, iOS)
  • ARM CPU Architecture
  • Chromebooks
  • Dual Monitors are NOT supported

  • Speaker

Mac:

  • Operating System: Mojave & Above
  • Required Browsers: Chrome or Edge. Other browsers do not support this system.
  • Memory: 4GB (minimum)
  • Recommended Internet Connection: 15 Mbit/s upload, 10 Mbit/s download
  • Web Camera: 640×640 resolution (minimum)

  • Speaker

Chromebook:

MonitorEDU Technical Requirements

  • The Google Meet application is required for testing. Download here: Google Play (Android), App Store (Apple)
  • Google Chrome is required to be installed on your computer
  • Operating System: macOS X 10.13 or higher, Windows 10 or higher.
  • Phone Operating System: Android OS 6.0 or higher and iOS (Apple) 12.0 mobile phone with a functioning camera
  • Web Camera: Minimum- 640×480 resolution, Recommended- 1280×720 resolution
  • Internet Download Speed: A required upload and download speed of 2Mbps, with 10Mbps preferred
  • RAM: Minimum – 2GB, Recommended- 4GB
  • A Functioning Microphone: Webcams with built in microphones and stand alone microphones supported. Both cell phone and laptop/computer need to have a functioning microphone.
  • Power Supply: Your devices need to be connected to a power source throughout your exam. Ensure that you will have a phone cord (recommended 6ft long, extension cord is sufficient) so that your phone may be propped in a six foot radius from your testing space.
  • Not Supported:
  • Tablets are not recommended (iPad, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Note, etc.)
  • ARM CPU Architecture
  • Dual Monitors are NOT supported

Rosalyn Technical Requirements

  • Personal computer with Windows or Mac Operating System

  • At least 2 GB available of RAM memory.
  • At least 500 MB of available disk space.
  • Minimum internet speed:
    • Download - 500kb/s (this is just for proctoring, exam requirements are not included)
    • Upload - 500kb/s (this is just for proctoring, exam requirements are not included)
  • Dual Monitors are NOT supported.
