Starting Your Exam - Examity

After scheduling your exam in your Prolydian account you'll receive an email with instructions on what to do before and on the day of your exam as well as what the technical requirements are. These instructions can also be found below.

Before your exam

Prior to beginning your exam you must complete your Examity profile setup, including the upload of a government issued Photo ID. You MUST complete the profile setup and computer requirements check prior to beginning your exam. Follow the steps below to complete your profile setup:

  • Log into your Prolydian account at https://app.prolydian.com
  • Click the Access Examity Account button from your Prolydian exams dashboard.

If this is your first time accessing your profile, you'll be prompted to review and edit your contact information as needed:

  • Verify your contact information in the first step, titled "Add your information"
  • Click the Next button
  • Click the Open Camera button to take a picture of your photo ID or click Upload an image
  • Click Next after adding your photo ID
  • Complete the system requirements check by clicking the Check if your system meets Examity requirements button
  • Click Next

If this is not your first time accessing your profile, be sure to verify your information by clicking the Profile button at the top of your Examity account page.


On The Day Of Your Exam

You may access your exam up to 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. To access your exam:

  • Log into your Prolydian account at https://app.prolydian.com
  • Click the Access Examity Account button from your Prolydian exams dashboard
  • Click the Connect to Proctor button
  • Following the instructions to install the Examity extension and connect to a proctor

Please review the following technical specifications and make sure the computer you plan to use for the exam meets the requirements.


Technical Requirements:

Examity V5 System Check: https://on.v5.examity.com/systemcheck 
Chrome is required for testing
Operating System: OS X El Capitan 10.11 or later, Windows 10 (Windows machines in 10 S mode are not supported), 
Internet Browser: Google Chrome (Current Stable and First Preceding Version)
Web Camera: Minimum- 640×480 resolution, Recommended- 1280×720 resolution
Internet Download Speed: A required upload and download speed of 2Mbps, with 10Mbps preferred
RAM: Minimum – 2GB, Recommended- 4GB
A Functioning Microphone: Webcams with built in microphones and stand alone microphones supported
 

NOT SUPPORTED:

  • Tablets (iPad, Galaxy Tab, Galaxy Note, etc.)
  • Mobile (Android, iOS)
  • ARM CPU Architecture
  • Chromebooks


Testing environment requirements

  • A suitable environment is a room that is enclosed - e.g., an office, a bedroom, or any other room with four walls that contains a door or other barrier to prevent entry. Windows are allowed, however, they need to be closed and covered. A candidate can close blinds, and shades, or cover the window with a sheet, towel, or other material.
  • The room must be free of clutter and contain no accessible devices, books, notes, or other materials that could potentially allow a candidate to cheat.
  • The desk or workspace the individual uses must be free of any devices, books, notes, or other materials that could potentially allow a candidate to cheat.
  • Examinees are allowed a CLEAR glass or bottle of water only
  • In general, the goal is to have as sterile an environment as possible.
