Continuing education (CE) topics
In addition to broad categories and activity types, continuing education submissions may be labeled, tracked, and limited based on pre-determined topics. If desired, multiple topics may be applied to each continuing education submission by credential holders and candidates.
Adding Topics
- Log into your Prolydian account at https://app.prolydian.com and go to the Credentials > Credentials page to select the credential on which you'll be adding/editing CE topics.
- In the credential management page, go to the "Continuing Education" tab and then click on the "Topics" tab.
- Click on the '+' button to add a new topic
- Within the box for the new topic, be sure to specify the name, description, and settings for that topic.
To allow candidates to view and select the topic related to their CE submission(s), click on the box to enable the "Topic is allowed" option:
Enter a name and description appropriate for the topic.
- If a specific number of CE credits will be required to relate to this topic before allowing a candidate to renew their credential, enter the required credit amount next to the "Credits req. for renewal"
Similarly, if the number of credits allowed for the topic should be limited, enter the maximum amount of credits allowed next to the "Max credits"
Click on the checkmark in the upper left of the new topic box to save the settings for the new topic.
CE Topics - Candidate View
Candidates applying for continuing education credits will be presented with all allowed topics on their CE application. Topics may be selected by clicking on the "Apply topic +" button. Note that they will be allowed to add any/all applicable topics to each submission:
After CEs with applied topics are approved, they will appear in the candidates' "Earned CECs" listings, with the topics appearing underneath the CE details:
If any CE topic is specified with a required credit amount, a progress bar will be displayed in the certificant dashboard along with the CE category requirement progress:
